Our Carmelite House of Prayer is open to the public for daily Liturgy of the Hours (Divine Office) and mass in our chapel Monday through Friday. In addition, many come for private prayer and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament during the week.
Friday evenings are a very special time at our House of Prayer. Community members and the general public are invited to an evening, which consists of Mass, followed by a spiritual reflection, music, discussion and fellowship. The themes addressed at our gatherings revolve around Carmelite spirituality particularly that of saints Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, as well as other Carmelite saints. Also the tenets of our faith are discussed. The formation portion is presented weekly by one of the consecrated or lay associate members.
Many volunteers and community members come to our House of Prayer, throughout the week, donating their time to our twenty-four hour Prayer line. Those who answer the Prayer line are valued supporters of the Carmelite commitment to a life of prayer. The Prayer line remains fundamental to the prayer life of our community.

In addition, our Carmelite House of Prayer is home to our Soul, Mind & Body Institute where we plan, develop and coordinate programs, which focus on serving people who desire to establish a healthy balance of soul, mind and body. Our staff is available full time to assist those involved in our programs, and those previous participants who call upon us for support in their journey to wholeness.
Our Carmelite House of Prayer accommodates office space for our business affairs and the coordination of our community life and ministries. Offices are staffed with community members and full time volunteers who provide service to the Carmelite Community through their time and commitment to the Lord.
Upon request, our consecrated and lay associate members offer small group, individual, youth and Carmelite Community retreats throughout the year. Retreats are designed to meet the needs of the participants and vary in length from one to fourteen days. The schedule generally includes spiritual talks, discussions, group activities, private conferences, prayer, adoration, mass and fellowship. Themes and focus areas are developed to meet the needs of those who participate. Those who attend our retreats come from both the United States and Canada.
